Brightmail | 1999 - 2000

In 1999 Sandy began working for Brightmail as the lead web developer in charge of the overhaul and build-out of the corporate website. After accomplishing this task, Sandy soon found himself designing and implementing the company's FreeBrightmail anti-spam service offering spam filtering to thousands of individuals each day.

Sandy's initiative and innovative Perl and database development earned him a promotion to Project Lead/Software Engineer for Brightmail's massive online tools. In this capacity, he works with Marketing, Operations, fellow engineers, QA, and an Oracle DBA, using a variety of technologies including Perl and C to interface with an Oracle backend.
