Provided direction for the Creative department - responsible for user interface & graphic specifications and development of all front-end technologies for multiple web-based applications.

Worked with Product Directors, Marketing & others to develop use-cases, determine requirements, create specifications documents. Implemented specifications employing appropriate technology & design - HTML/XSL/JSP/DHTML - for support across varying browser/platform combinations. Required fluent use of a variety of applications on Mac, Win NT, & UNIX including: Photoshop/ImageReady, Fireworks, Flash, Dreamweaver, BBedit, Homesite, SlickEdit, VSS, and XMetal.

Collaborated with Engineering to architect XML specifications, develop DTD, and implement XSL. Responsible for creation of XML documents, training staff to work in XML, and developing administrative interfaces for web based data-entry. Additionally, assisted engineering to design Oracle database to support multiple cross-referenced web applications.

Trained multiple employees in HTML, JavaScript, and XML.

Not only responsible for all in-house web development efforts, guiding a small team on a number of projects, including the redesign and overhaul of the primary UCSF website, but also coordinated the efforts of all of the UCSF departmental websites including training new employees in HTML, CSS, JavaScript & graphics optimization. Singularly responsible for establishing regular university wide meetings of various department developers, providing available templates and training to the university web workers, and offering outreach to departments seeking to establish a website for the first time.
